Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for the collection of all Village taxes, assessments, other revenue and is the custodian of all funds coming into the Village. The Treasurer maintains a system of accounts for all Village departments, regulates disbursements of funds, and maintains all records of investments, retirement funds and payroll.  The Treasurer also coordinates the Village’s required annual audit. 

The 2018 Village Tax is due and payable July 1, 2018– September 14, 2018

State law requires a 1% Interest applied September 15-30, 2018

Additional 1% Interest per calendar month, thereafter.

 Beginning March 1, 2019 all unpaid 2018 taxes must be paid to the

Berrien County Treasurer with late fees applied.  They can be reached at

POSTMARKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED AS ON TIME PAYMENT

 AVAILABLE PAYMENT METHODS

 By mail:  Mail at least ten days prior to due date, and include your Payment Coupon to ensure proper credit is applied.  If you pay on the wrong property, the law holds you fully responsible.  Postmark and/or check dates are NOT accepted as on-time payment. If paying online through your bank, please allow 14 business days for processing.

 Online:  You may pay your bill online . You will need your parcel number in order to pay online.  A third party service fee of up to 3% will be charged. 

Drop Box:  Located on the wall at the front entrance to Village Hall.  Please do not leave cash.

In Person:
  Village Hall 5768 Saint Joseph Avenue, Stevensville, MI 49127. 

 Please note, the Village does not accept cash payments over $50.00

  DEFERMENT OF SUMMER TAXES

 Summer taxes may be deferred until February 14, 2019 if your 2017 total household income did not exceed $40,000 and you meet one of the following requirements:

  • Senior Citizen, age 62 by December 1, 2018
  • Hemiplegic, Paraplegic, or Quadriplegic
  • Eligible Serviceperson, Veteran, Widow or Widower
  • Blind
  • Totally and Permanently Disabled

TAX SAVINGS ACCOUNT
