The Treasurer is responsible for the collection of all Village taxes, assessments, other revenue and is the custodian of all funds coming into the Village. The Treasurer maintains a system of accounts for all Village departments, regulates disbursements of funds, and maintains all records of investments, retirement funds and payroll. The Treasurer also coordinates the Village’s required annual audit.
2020 Village Property Tax are now due to the Berrien County Treasurer. Please call 269.983.7111 x 8569 for the amount owed. All payments for 2020 taxes must be paid to the Berrien County Treasurer.
The 2021 Village of Stevensville tax bills will be sent out July 1, 2021 and will be due September 15, 2021 .
Following are a few suggestions to keep yourself safe and contact free while paying taxes.
- Mail your taxes in.
- Contact your bank and set up a payment through bill pay. (Usually no charge.)
- Drop your payment in the drop box right beside the Village front door.
- Pay using your credit card at govpaynow.com. (2.65% fee) (Bills up to $31 have a $1.00 fee.)
BUT I WANT A RECEIPT!
Return your whole tax bill with your payment when paying by mail or using the drop box at the Village Hall. Be sure to enclose a self addressed, stamped envelope and we will send the stamped, paid receipt back to you. You are still welcome to pay in person, however, until all regulations have been lifted, the Village office is available by appointment only. We are not currently scheduling appointments for tax payments. Please utilize any of the payment methods listed above.
TAX SAVINGS ACCOUNT
It is now possible to set up a tax savings account at 5 local financial institutions. These accounts are similar to a Christmas Club Account. This type of savings account can help ensure that your taxes are paid on time and possibly save you money. Click on the link below for more information.
